LEESBURG — It's the end of an era that started with a sendoff from a soap-opera star.
The Target store at the Lake Square Mall opened March 15, 1992, with a guest appearance by Scott ThompsonBaker, who played Dr. Craig Lawson on TV's "All My Children."
It will close Saturday, a month and a half shy of its 22nd anniversary — and far short of the 41-year run of "All My Children" on ABC. (The soap lives on the Internet through the Online Network). Hours for these final days are 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Eligible employees were offered the opportunity to transfer to nearbyTargets.
