Carol Felder addressed the Kiwanis Club of Clermont. She is the Regional Development Director for Cornerstone Hospice, a 501©3 organization that receives financial support from many community organizations especially from South Lake County. Carol gave an overview of hospice care where medical services, emotional support and spiritual resources are provided to persons in the last stages of serious illness. Life expectancy is usually six months or less- twelve months for residents of Florida. Stipulation for hospice care is that the person no longer seeks curative treatment, excluding children who can seek curative treatment until they die.
